When students get the opportunity to publish their finished products online, they get a sense of accomplishment. They become known to the wider world. They are allowed to determine which sharing tool is the best one to exhibit their creations etc. What is also good, is the fact that they can determine who their viewing or listening audience can be. The students are encouraged to improve their skills (writing, creative etc) since their productions will be displayed on the World Wide Web via multimedia presentations.
Educators too are able to share any products that they compile. Sharing tools are avenues that students and educators can use to show the quality of work that they can produce when they are allowed to work in 21st century environments.
"I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music." Billy Joel

Module 7-Activity 9: Learning and collaboration online
Learning and collaboration online prove to be effective for many reasons. Some of these are:-
- it provides an outlet for students to collaborate in group activities.
- it allows for shy students to freely express themselves about the topic or concepts.
- it improves student's writing skills.
- students are crying out for the use of communication tools so that they can be responsible for their learning and determine
Activity 8: Communicating online
For learning to be effective in connected classrooms, communication and collaborative tools must be employed. These help to make learning across boundaries more accessible and rewarding. With these tools, students are able to work along amicably with other students in other cultures and countries etc so as to enhance their learning.
The same is true for facilitators since they are apart of the entire process to ensure that concepts learnt or taught are in accordance to the standards set by the governing body. They also share and gain experiences, concept and the like with other facilitators around the world.
It is worthwhile mentioning the acceptable behaviours that should be exhibited at all times through communication and collaboration activities. I am eagerly awaiting the full implementation of ICT in school so that these two very important tools can be used in our teaching/learning experiences.

Module 7-Activity 7: Learning through social media
This activity was quite enlightening and fun. It was good to be in a group using the different social media. The members of my team got first-hand experience of the difficulties and successes that can be had through the use this method of communication. We also learnt how overcome the hurdles by using a combination of them to complete the activity that we were asked to do. I will always keep the experience in mind whenever I give my students activities that require them to use social media.
It was fascinating to realize that members of a group can collaborate but not cooperate. I am happy that I was made into a movie writer. I can see my students having fun while learning to make movies on different topics in my discipline.

Activity 6: Real World Collaboration
Judging from the analyses that I did during
this activity, I have learned that "student engagement is active
engagement is active engagement in real life." I would like to borrow the
words of the famous Chinese proverb that states, “Tell me and I’ll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I’ll
understand.” This proverb is likened to real world collaboration and how
our students can benefit from being taught outside the four walls of the
classroom. When students are involved in project-based learning that puts them
in the real world, with real issues that are of interests to them, they will
never forget the concepts that they discover.
I now want to conclude with yet another Chinese proverb, "Give
a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him
for a lifetime."
Activity 5: Engaged Learning
It was a wonderful experience to use MindMeister. I can't wait to try it with my students. What a way to get students engaged in learning. The ideas shared by my colleagues were superb and a great wealth of knowledge was gained.
Activity 4: Knowledge Building
This activity allowed me to do some self assessment to determine my level of learning environment provision. It also gave me the opportunity to collaborate with my team in making a list of things that I need to put in place inorder for me to create an environment conducive for learning.
I like the fact that a template was provided to aid me with planning a project in a variety of steps so as not get overwhelmed. It has shown me that I need to practice this skill with my students if knowledge bulding is to take place.
